The Aroma of Turkish Coffee in a Tin
This Turkish coffee is made from fine grade medium roast ground Arabica beans; when slowly cooked in the cezve it yields a frothy, full-bodied cup. The tin protects the coffee's aroma from external factors.
During serving, sweetened, lightly sweetened or plain is left to the drinker's taste. When accompanied by ice-cold water, the traditional presentation is complete.
Ingredients and Warning Information
The product consists of fine grade medium roast ground Arabica coffee. As it contains a high amount of caffeine, it is not recommended for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women; it may contain traces of nuts.
The coffee's froth is achieved by slow cooking over low heat in the cezve. The fineness of the grind is the key factor that provides the consistency characteristic of Turkish coffee.
Brewing and Preparation
For each cup, about two teaspoons (6-7 g) of coffee is added to the cezve with drinking water measured by the cup; it is cooked over low heat until it froths and poured into the cup with its froth. Sugar can be added before cooking if desired.
Storage Recommendation
To keep the coffee fresh for a long time, the tin should be stored closed in a cool, dry environment. After opening, closing the tin tightly slows the loss of aroma.
